چکیده

Abstract Background and Rationale A fluoroscopy-based approach to an electrophysiological procedure is widely validated has been recognized as the gold standard for a long time. The use of fluoroscopy exposes both healthcare staff patient non-negligible dose radiation. To minimize risks associated with fluoroscopy, it would be reasonable perform ablation procedures zero fluoroscopy. This used in simple procedures, but not complex procedures. In atrial fibrillation (AF) remains main technology used, particularly guide transseptal puncture. Main results Implications We present workflow complete zero-fluoroscopy AF using 3D electro-anatomical mapping system, intracardiac echocardiography novel steerable guiding sheath that can visualized on system. two one performed paroxysmal (Fig.1) persistent (Fig. 2, Fig 3) during which we applied this workflow, achieving successful pulmonary vein isolation without complications exposure.

Cardiac Remodeling After Atrial Fibrillation Ablation.

Radiofrequency catheter ablation procedures are considered a reasonable option for patients with symptomatic, drug refractory atrial fibrillation (AF). Ablation procedures have been reported to effectively restore sinus rhythm and provide long-term relief of symptoms. Both electrical and structural remodeling occurs with AF. A reversal of the electrical remodeling develops within 1 week after r...

Remote magnetic catheter navigation versus conventional ablation in atrial fibrillation ablation: Fluoroscopy reduction

BACKGROUND Percutaneous transcatheter radiofrequency ablation of atrial fibrillation with remote controlled magnetic navigation (RMN) has been shown to reduce radiation exposure to patients and physicians compared with conventional manual (MAN) ablation techniques. METHODS Catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation was performed utilizing RMN in 214 consecutive patients and MAN ablation techni...

Cardiac injury after percutaneous catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation.

AIMS Small elevations in troponin T levels have been shown with limited radiofrequency (RF) ablation procedures for supraventricular tachycardia, usually to levels below the threshold for ischaemia or infarction. Left atrial catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation (AF) requires far more RF energy, therefore could be expected to have greater elevation in troponin T. We determined troponin T le...

Maximum voltage gradient technique for optimization of ablation for typical atrial flutter with zero-fluoroscopy approach

Radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) is an established effective method for the treatment of typical cavo-tricuspid isthmus (CTI)-dependent atrial flutter (AFL). The introduction of 3-dimensional electro-anatomic systems enables RFCA without fluoroscopy (No-X-Ray [NXR]). The aim of this study was to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of CTI RFCA during implementation of the NXR appro...

Cryoballoon ablation for atrial fibrillation

2014 Pulmonary vein (PV) isolation is the cornerstone of ablation therapy for atrial fibrillation. The majority of procedures are still performed using radiofrequency (RF) energy and a point-by-point ablation approach. Novel ‘single shot’ ablation tools with the aim of creating a circumferential lesion around the PVs with a single or a limited number of energy applications emerge. The currently...
